How to listen to free online radio from any country (no sign-up)
The short version
Open tunewide.com, choose a country, a genre or a mood, press play. The catalog has 6,015 stations from 205 countries. There is no account and nothing to install. The player keeps playing while you move between pages.
Three ways to find a station
- By country. Every country has its own page: /countries/gb/, /countries/us/, /countries/nl/. Useful when you want local news, the weather in a language you are learning, or the radio of a city you used to live in.
- By genre. Rock, jazz, classical, news, talk, Latin, dance. Genre pages list the stations that carry it right now.
- By mood. If you do not know what you want, pick a mood (for example calm or party) and the site suggests a station. Like or skip it and the next suggestion adjusts.
What works well
- Stations are checked for a live HTTPS stream before they get into the catalog, so a press on play should produce sound.
- Pages are available in English, Spanish, Ukrainian and Russian.
- Playback does not stop when you open another page.
What it cannot do
- It does not play stations that only offer an http stream: browsers block those on https sites, so we leave them out.
- It is not a music library. You get live radio, no on-demand albums, no podcasts.
- Some stations geo-block their own stream. If one station stays silent, try another from the same country page.
- On iPhone, background playback with the screen locked is not reliable.
- No account means no synced history between devices.
A quick way to try it
Want something from another country? Open /countries/ and take a country you have never heard radio from. Press play on the first station that shows a live stream. If you do not like it, the next one is one click away.
