1. What Tunewide is
Tunewide is a free online directory of publicly available internet radio stations from around the world and a service that picks what to listen to. The site helps you find and play a station that suits your mood right now.
By using tunewide.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
2. We only connect
Tunewide is not a radio station, broadcaster or rights holder and does not produce radio programmes. When you press play, your browser connects directly to the station's server at its publicly available address — exactly as if you had opened that address in your own player.
We do not store, record, copy, retransmit or sell stations' audio. The audio does not pass through our servers, and no audio can be downloaded from the site.
We do not interfere with stations' broadcasts: we do not change their content, do not cut or insert advertising or any other material into a stream, and do not circumvent access restrictions set by stations.
3. What station data we use
Stream addresses and station details come from the open radio-browser.info database, which permits use by third-party services.
We display and store only information that stations publish openly themselves: name, logo, country, genre, and the titles of the tracks a station announces in its own stream. Station playlists, charts and recommendations are built from this information.
Station names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the station.
4. Picks and recommendations
Our aim is to give you a broadcast that suits your mood right now. To do that, the site — including by means of algorithms and artificial intelligence — selects, recommends and switches stations, decides their order and which stations to show, at its own discretion.
Recommendations are not a rating of stations, advertising or a guarantee of broadcast quality. We may change how picks are made, or remove a station from recommendations or from the directory, at any time.
5. Independence
Tunewide is independent of radio stations. No radio station pays us for listing, placement in the directory, recommendations or chart positions, and we have no partnership, contractual or other cooperative relationship with radio stations.
A station's place in picks and charts is determined by broadcast and listening data, not by payment.
6. Statistics and reports for stations
At a radio station's request we may provide it with listening statistics for its station on Tunewide or prepare a report — for example on the number and duration of listens, listeners' countries and the tracks played.
Such data is anonymised and does not identify listeners; how our data works is described in the Privacy policy. Send requests to info@tunewide.com from an address connected to the station.
7. Background videos and images
Background videos and images on the site come from open, publicly available sources that permit free use, including commercial use (Pexels, Pixabay), or were created by us. They serve as decoration and are not connected to any particular radio station.
If you believe a video or image on the site infringes your rights, write to info@tunewide.com, naming the page and the material. We will review the request and remove the material if the claim is justified.
8. Music rights and station removal
Rights to the music broadcast, and the licences to broadcast it, belong to the radio stations and the respective rights holders. Responsibility for broadcast content, music licensing and advertising inside a stream rests with the station.
If you represent a station or rights holder and do not want the station listed, write to info@tunewide.com. No justification is required: the station is normally removed within three working days and does not return in later catalogue updates.
9. Rules of use
You may use the site for personal, non-commercial listening. You may not build automated copies of the directory, overload the site with automated requests, present streams as your own service or retransmit them through your own servers.
10. Limitation of liability
The service is provided free of charge and as is. We do not guarantee the availability of any particular station, uninterrupted broadcasting, the accuracy of station information, or that picks will match your expectations.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site, nor for the content of radio stations' broadcasts or of third-party websites.
11. Changes and contact
We may change these terms. A new version takes effect when it is published on this page; the version date is shown at the top.
Questions about these terms: info@tunewide.com.
Questions and answers for radio stations and rights holders
Do you record or store our broadcast?
No. Audio travels directly from the station's server to the listener's browser and never passes through our servers. We store only the track titles the station publishes openly — for playlists and charts.
Do you insert ads into our stream or change it?
No. We do not alter the stream or interfere with the broadcast: listeners receive exactly what the station transmits.
Do stations pay for placement or recommendations?
No. No station pays us, and places in recommendations or charts cannot be bought. Picks are based on mood, genre and listener behaviour.
Do you cooperate with radio stations?
No, Tunewide is independent. We do not enter into partnership or commercial agreements with stations.
Can we get listening statistics for our station?
Yes. Write to info@tunewide.com from an address connected to the station and we will send statistics or prepare a report.
How do we remove our station from the directory?
Write to info@tunewide.com. No justification is needed; the station is normally removed within three working days.
Who do we contact about a video or image on the site?
info@tunewide.com, naming the page and the material. If the claim is justified we will remove it.
